Weekend Recap

Now that a new weekend is upon me, I thought I'd finally share what I did LAST weekend. (It's been a blur of a week, so I haven't gotten 'round to it yet.)

1- Ate delicious food for cheap.

2- Went to Pack the Pantries and was sad that it was basically over by the time we got there. :(

DC Mayor Vincent Gray came, too.

We all wore green.
You know you're at a Mormon service project when... You have to shut everything down an hour and a half ahead of schedule, because you  got so many volunteers, all the work got done way faster than expected.
3- Went to the Newseum (more pictures to come!).

4- Watched a special broadcast for the women of my church.

5- Went to church, where we had Fast and Testimony meeting. The first Sunday of each month, members of my congregation fast for two meals (24 hours), and we donate the money we saved on those meals to help the poor and needy in our area and across the world.

6- Went on a lovely fall stroll with Caitie-lin.

7- Had dinner with my friend Brandon and his new wifey. :)

This coming weekend won't be so jam-packed, but it'll be just as great (if not MORE great), because it's General Conference weekend! In our church, we believe that we are led by living Prophets and Apostles who make known to us what God's will is for our lives. We get to hear from them in a worldwide broadcast this weekend, and I couldn't be more excited. :) You can watch online on www.LDS.org.
